Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026: NETZLE.LEGAL successfully represents winter sport federations in four cases before the CAS ad hoc Division (CAS OG 26/01 A. Bolshunov v. FIS; CAS OG 26/03 K. Uhlaender v. IBSF; CAS OG 26/04 British Bob & Skeleton v. IBSF; CAS 26/09 V. Heraskevych v. IBSF).

30 January 2026: Stephan Netzle comments on the criteria for the admission of Individual Neutral Athletes to the Olympic Games on Swiss Radio SRF 1. The interview can be followed here.

27 January 2026: CAS upholds salary claim of a renown Italian volleyball coach who was dismissed without cause. The coach was represented by NETZLE.LEGAL. CAS specified and limited the duty to look for an alternative income.

20 May 2025: The Swiss Federal Tribunal dismisses the appeals of Russian biathlon athletes Svetlana Slepstova and Evgenj Ustyugov against a CAS Award of 9 September 2024, which found the athletes guilty of doping offenses in the context of the Russian state-sponsored doping scheme. NETZLE.LEGAL represented the International Biathlon Union (IBU). 

20 May 2025: CAS dismisses the Appeal of Austrian nordic combined athlete Mario Seidl against the National Anti-Doping Agency Austria represented by NETZLE.LEGAL in a blood passport case.

31 March 2025: CAS rejects a discrimination claim of Nigerian bobsleigh athlete Simidele Adeagbo against the IOC and the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) represented by NETZLE.LEGAL. The CAS award can be found here.

26 March 2025: Stephan Netzle comments in the Neue Züricher Zeitung NZZ on the announcement of World Athletics to introduce genetic tests to determine the biologic sex of  athletes starting in the female category. 

06 February 2025: The Swiss Federal Tribunal dismisses an appeal by football player Mario Vuskovic of the Hamburger Sportverein (HSV) against the Nationale Anti-Doping Agentur Deutschland (NADA), represented by NETZLE.LEGAL in a doping matter.

22 November 2024: The Swiss Sport Parliament adopts the revised Ethics Statute. Stephan Netzle designed Swiss Sport Integrity in 2020 and led the Task Force, which drafted and updated the Ethics Statute, and set up the Swiss Sports Tribunal.
